In providing any of the duties set forth in this act, the\n\nDepartment of Human Services may provide direct protective services.\n\nB. The Department may contract with any public or private\n\nagency for the provision of protective services.\n\nC. The Department shall utilize to the extent appropriate and\n\navailable existing resources and services of public and nonprofit\n\nprivate agencies in providing protective services.
