Stat. tit. 43A, § 43A-2-201","heading":"Commissioner of Mental Health and Substance Abuse","body":"Services - Qualifications - Salary.\n\nA. A Commissioner of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services\n\nshall be appointed by the Board of Mental Health and Substance Abuse\n\nServices. The Commissioner may only be removed by the Board for\n\ncause. The Commissioner shall meet at least one of the following\n\nqualifications:\n\n1. Possession of a Doctor of Medicine Degree and a license to\n\npractice medicine in this state;\n\n2. Possession of an Osteopathic Medicine Degree and a license\n\nto practice medicine in this state;\n\n3. Possession of a Doctor of Public Health Degree;\n\n4. Possession of a Doctoral Degree in Psychology and a license\n\nto practice psychology in this state;\n\n5. Possession of a Master of Public Health Degree and a minimum\n\nof five (5) years of supervisory experience in the administration of\n\nhealth services; or\n\n6. Possession of a Master of Arts or Master's Degree in\n\nBusiness Administration, Social Science or a related field and a\n\nminimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in the\n\nadministration of health services.\n\nB.
