Stat. tit. 43A, § 43A-3-201","heading":"Statewide system of precare and aftercare services","body":"The Commissioner may establish a statewide system of precare and\n\naftercare services, to include receiving hospital services and\n\nhalfway houses, in relation to the admission and discharge of\n\npatients from state mental hospitals. Physical facilities for these\n\nservices may be leased, purchased, or constructed by the State of\n\nOklahoma or donated to the Department of Mental Health and Substance\n\nAbuse Services. Contracts for such services may be negotiated with\n\nprofessional persons, privately owned facilities, or publicly\n\noperated facilities. These services may be operated separately or\n\nin connection with existing state mental hospitals. These services\n\nshall be used for the care and treatment of the mentally ill,\n\nespecially for those whose condition makes it likely that\n\nhospitalization will be necessary and for those patients discharged\n\nfrom state mental hospitals who require periodic outpatient\n\nsupervision and treatment.
