The Board of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services\n\nshall promulgate rules and standards for certification of a facility\n\nor organization that desires to be certified as a “Mental Illness\n\nService Program”.\n\nB. Applications for certification as a mental illness service\n\nprogram shall be made to the Department of Mental Health and\n\nSubstance Abuse Services on prescribed forms. The Board, or the\n\nCommissioner of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services upon\n\ndelegation by the Board, may certify mental illness service programs\n\nfor a period of three (3) years, subject to renewal as provided in\n\nthe rules promulgated by the Board.\n\nC. The Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services\n\nis authorized to establish and collect certification and renewal\n\nfees for certification of mental illness service programs as\n\nprovided in Section 3-324 of Title 43A of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nD. A certified mental illness service program shall comply with\n\nstandards adopted by the Board. Such standards shall be in\n\ncompliance with:\n\n1. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare\n\nOrganizations;\n\n2. The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation\n\nFacilities; or\n\n3. Approved medical and professional standards as determined by\n\nthe Board.\n\nE.
