Subject to the availability of funds, the Department of\n\nMental Health and Substance Abuse Services is hereby directed to\n\ncontract with public and private entities located in the State of\n\nOklahoma for the purpose of providing peer support crisis\n\nintervention, counseling and wellness for the law enforcement,\n\nfirefighter, emergency medical and corrections communities impacted\n\nby trauma, cumulative stress, anxiety, addictions, death and suicide\n\nand the impact on their personal lives.\n\nB. Qualified crisis intervention training entities shall\n\nprovide peer support teams trained in crisis intervention and\n\nwellness strategies.\n\nC. Qualified crisis intervention training entities, as provided\n\nfor in this section, shall be required to be derived from the\n\nInternational Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) and shall\n\nemploy the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) crisis\n\nintervention process. All instructors that teach the Critical\n\nIncident Stress Management process shall be ICISF approved\n\ninstructors.\n\nD. Wellness strategies, required pursuant to this section,\n\nshall include, but not be limited to, resilience trainings related\n\nto resiliency for the job, emotional survival, substance abuse\n\nprevention, suicide prevention, financial and relationship\n\nstrategies.
