Counties and municipalities may establish emergency service\n\npatrols. A patrol consists of persons trained to give assistance in\n\npublic places to persons whom the patrol has reasonable grounds to\n\nbelieve are intoxicated. Members of an emergency service patrol\n\nshall be capable of providing first aid in emergency situations and\n\nmay transport intoxicated persons to their homes and to and from\n\napproved treatment facilities and alternative facilities.\n\nB. Standards for the establishment, training and conduct of\n\nemergency service patrols shall be adopted by the county or\n\nmunicipality and approved by the alcohol services and drug abuse\n\nplanning body for that region.
