Stat. tit. 43A, § 43A-4-201","heading":"Liability of consumer and estate for cost of care and","body":"treatment.\n\nA consumer at a facility within the Department of Mental Health\n\nand Substance Abuse Services is liable for his or her care and\n\ntreatment. This claim of the state for such care and treatment\n\nshall constitute a valid indebtedness against any such consumer and\n\nthe estate of the consumer and shall not be barred by any statute of\n\nlimitations.
