Any person may be admitted to a state mental hospital or\n\nstate-operated community mental health center or a private mental\n\nhealth hospital or private community mental health center on a\n\nvoluntary basis as an informal consumer when there are available\n\naccommodations and in the judgment of the person in charge of the\n\nfacility or a designee such person may require treatment therein.\n\nSuch person may be admitted as an informal consumer without making\n\nformal or written application therefor and any such informal\n\nconsumer shall be free to leave such facility on any day between the\n\nhours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and at such other times as the\n\nperson in charge of the facility may determine.\n\nB. No person shall be admitted as an informal consumer pursuant\n\nto the provisions of this section to any state mental hospital or\n\nstate-operated community mental health center unless the person in\n\ncharge of the facility or a designee has informed such consumer in\n\nwriting of the following:\n\n1. The rules and procedures of the facility relating to the\n\ndischarge of informal consumers;\n\n2. The legal rights of an informal consumer receiving treatment\n\nfrom the facility; and\n\n3.
