Stat. tit. 44, § 44-115","heading":"Bond of officers accountable for or receiving military","body":"property.\n\nEach officer to whom there shall be issued, or who shall be\n\naccountable for arms, equipment, uniform, and any other state or\n\nUnited States property for military uses, or who shall have the\n\ncontrol, custody, or disbursement of funds as provided for in this\n\ncode shall, before the delivery to him of such arms, equipment,\n\nuniform, and other state or United States property, and the receipt\n\nof such funds, execute and deliver to the Adjutant General a surety\n\nbond therefor, with sureties to be approved by the Governor, and\n\npayable to the state, in such amount as may be fixed by the\n\nGovernor, conditioned for the proper care, use and return in good\n\norder, wear, use and unavoidable loss and damage excepted, of all\n\nsuch state and United States property, and the proper care and\n\nfaithful disbursement and accounting of all funds coming into the\n\nhands of such officer. Upon the violation of any of the conditions\n\nof such bond, action thereon shall be brought by the Attorney\n\nGeneral on behalf of the state, and any recovery thereon shall be\n\ncredited to the Guard Funds of the state.
