Stat. tit. 44, § 44-21","heading":"Military Department","body":"The Military Department of the State of Oklahoma is hereby\n\nestablished and shall be under the command and control of the\n\nGovernor as Commander in Chief, with the Adjutant General as the\n\nexecutive and administrative head thereof. The Military Department\n\nshall be constituted of the state military forces, as defined by\n\nSection 801 of this title, and is hereby organized into a joint\n\nheadquarters which shall be identified as the joint forces\n\nheadquarters. The joint forces headquarters shall be jointly\n\nstaffed by Army National Guard and Air National Guard personnel who,\n\nunder the authority and direction of the Adjutant General, shall\n\nsupport and assist the Adjutant General in the exercise of command\n\nand control over state military forces when not activated for\n\nfederal duty under Title 10 of the United States Code.
