Personnel appointed as state employees in the Military\n\nDepartment shall be in the unclassified service of the state. The\n\nAdjutant General may grant leave to state civilian employees\n\nconsistent with the rules governing the federal workforce in support\n\nof the National Guard.\n\nB. Any employee of the Military Department of the State of\n\nOklahoma may be granted administrative leave with pay for volunteer\n\nservice activities, under such terms and limitations as the Adjutant\n\nGeneral may establish, in service that meets one or more of the\n\nfollowing criteria:\n\n1. The activity is directly related to the Department's\n\nmission;\n\n2. The activity is sponsored or sanctioned by or in partnership\n\nwith the Department; or\n\n3. The activity will enhance the development or skills of the\n\nemployee in his or her current position.\n\nC. Leave granted pursuant to subsection B of this section shall\n\nbe as brief as permitted under the circumstances and shall not\n\nsupport an activity otherwise prohibited by law while in a duty\n\nstatus.\n\nD.
