The Adjutant General of the State of Oklahoma is hereby\n\nauthorized to appoint such officers as are necessary to be\n\ndesignated as police officers (OMD), for the purpose of protecting\n\nall properties of, owned by or under the control of the Oklahoma\n\nNational Guard wherever located in the State of Oklahoma. The\n\nAdjutant General shall promulgate rules which prescribe the duties\n\nfor the officers thus appointed, designate their uniforms, fix their\n\ncompensation upon appointment and provide for removal from their\n\nappointment. Each such police officer (OMD) shall be given a\n\nwritten commission evidencing his or her appointment and authority,\n\ntogether with a detailed description of his or her person in order\n\nto properly identify his or her official capacity; the form of such\n\ncommission shall be prescribed by the Adjutant General.\n\nB. Any police officer (OMD) appointed pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of this section shall have, with the sole exception of\n\nthe serving or execution of civil process, all the powers vested by\n\nlaw in peace officers in the protection and guarding of the grounds,\n\nbuildings and equipment of, owned by or under the control of the\n\nOklahoma National Guard. The police officer (OMD) shall:\n\n1. Direct his or her attention to the prevention of improper\n\nconduct, interference with, or trespassing upon the property of,\n\nowned by or under the control of the Oklahoma National Guard; and\n\n2. If required, make arrests and take into custody persons\n\nguilty of improper conduct or trespassing.\n\nC.
