The Adjutant General shall be appointed by the Governor, by\n\nand with the advice and consent of the Oklahoma State Senate, and\n\nshall serve at the pleasure of the Governor.\n\nB. To be eligible to hold the office of Adjutant General of\n\nthis state, at the time of appointment, the appointee:\n\n1. Shall be a federally recognized and currently serving as a\n\ncolonel or higher ranking officer of the Oklahoma National Guard no\n\nless than eight (8) years of service in the Oklahoma National Guard;\n\n2. Shall possess at least the rank of Colonel; and\n\n3.
