Stat. tit. 44, § 44-48","heading":"Discharge of enlisted men","body":"Enlisted men discharged from service in the National Guard of\n\nthis state shall receive a discharge in writing in such form and\n\nwith such classification as is or shall be prescribed by National\n\nGuard regulations, and in time of peace discharges may be given\n\nprior to the expiration of terms of enlistment in the following\n\ncases:\n\nBy sentence of a general court-martial; by direction of the\n\nGovernor on account of disability; on account of sentence of\n\nimprisonment by a civil court whether suspended or not; on account\n\nof a bona fide permanent change of residence to another state; and\n\nfor the purpose of enlisting in regular Army, Air Force, Navy, or\n\nMarine Corps, and for such other causes as may be prescribed by\n\nNational Guard regulations or the Commander in Chief; provided, that\n\nan enlisted man who has not returned or accounted for all of the\n\npublic property for which he is responsible, shall under no\n\ncircumstances receive an honorable discharge.","path":["OK Code","Title 44"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os44.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"85f82b3c7f4a0740e02ea627f90cd240a88928320cf78b373fb6a3e4f9f9850e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-44-44-47","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-44-44-49"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
