Imposition of restraint.\n\nA. Arrest is the restraint of a person by an order, not imposed\n\nas a punishment for an offense, directing that person to remain\n\nwithin certain specified limits. Confinement is the physical\n\nrestraint of a person.\n\nB. An enlisted member may be ordered into arrest or confinement\n\nby any commissioned officer by an order, oral or written, delivered\n\nin person or through other persons subject to the Oklahoma Uniform\n\nCode of Military Justice. A commanding officer may authorize\n\nwarrant officers or noncommissioned officers to order enlisted\n\nmembers of his or her command or subject to his or her authority\n\ninto arrest or confinement.\n\nC. A commissioned officer or a warrant officer may be ordered\n\ninto arrest or confinement only by a commanding officer to whose\n\nauthority he or she is subject, by an order, oral or written,\n\ndelivered in person, or by another commissioned officer. The\n\nauthority to order such persons into arrest or confinement shall not\n\nbe delegated.\n\nD. No person may be ordered into arrest or confinement except\n\nfor probable cause.\n\nE.
