Findings and sentencing.\n\nA. A court-martial shall announce its findings and sentence to\n\nthe parties as soon as determined.\n\nB. Sentencing generally.\n\n1. General and special courts-martial.\n\na. Sentencing by military judge. Except as provided in\n\nsubparagraph b of this paragraph, if the accused is\n\nconvicted of an offense in a trial by general or\n\nspecial court-martial, the military judge shall\n\nsentence the accused.\n\nb. Sentencing by members. If the accused is convicted of\n\nan offense by general or special court-martial\n\nconsisting of a military judge and members and the\n\naccused elects sentencing by members under Section 825\n\nof this title (Article 25), the members shall sentence\n\nthe accused.\n\nc. Sentence of the accused. The sentence determined\n\npursuant to this paragraph constitutes the sentence of\n\nthe accused.\n\n2. Summary courts-martial.
