The State Judge Advocate shall detail in his or her office\n\none or more commissioned officers as appellate government counsel,\n\nand one or more commissioned officers as appellate defense counsel,\n\nwho are qualified under paragraph 1 of subsection B of Section 827\n\nof this title (Article 27, subsection B, paragraph 1).\n\nB. Appellate government counsel shall represent the State of\n\nOklahoma before the Military Court of Appeals or the Court of\n\nCriminal Appeals when directed to do so by the State Judge Advocate.\n\nC. Appellate defense counsel shall represent the accused before\n\nthe Military Court of Appeals, or the Court of Criminal Appeals:\n\n1. When requested by the accused;\n\n2. When the State of Oklahoma is represented by counsel; or\n\n3. When the State Judge Advocate has sent the case to the\n\nMilitary Court of Appeals.\n\nD. The accused has the right to be represented before the\n\nMilitary Court of Appeals, or the Court of Criminal Appeals by\n\ncivilian counsel if provided by him or her.\n\nE. Military appellate counsel shall also perform such other\n\nfunctions in connection with the review of court-martial cases as\n\nthe State Judge Advocate directs.\n\nF.
