An accused may be found guilty of any of the\n\nfollowing:\n\n1. The offense charged;\n\n2. A lesser included offense;\n\n3. An attempt to commit the offense charged; and\n\n4. An attempt to commit a lesser included offense, if the\n\nattempt is an offense in its own right.\n\nB. Lesser included offense defined. In this section, the term\n\n\"lesser included offense\" means:\n\n1. An offense that is necessarily included in the offense\n\ncharged; and\n\n2. Any lesser included offense so designated by regulation\n\nprescribed by the Adjutant General.\n\nC. Regulatory authority.
