Stat. tit. 45, § 45-509","heading":"Hoisting machinery in shaft over seventy-five feet deep","body":"When any mine is operated by a shaft which exceeds seventy-five\n\n(75) feet in vertical depth, the persons employed in said mine shall\n\nbe lowered into and raised from said mine by means of machinery, and\n\nwhere the employees are lowered into and hoisted from the mines at\n\nthe main shaft opening, the other shaft shall be supplied with safe\n\nand suitable machinery for hoisting and lowering persons, or with\n\nsafe and convenient stairs for use in cases of emergency by persons\n\nemployed in said mine: Provided, that any mine operated by two\n\nshafts, and where safe and suitable machinery is provided at both\n\nshafts for hoisting coal or other mineral, or persons, as herein\n\nprovided for, shall have sufficiently complied with the requirements\n\nof this section.","path":["OK Code","Title 45"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os45.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"da17b8e342030c0ab6df1b6dcf0ce04477556f6c1c736905bbb0b2a24d0705b9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-45-45-508","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-45-45-510"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
