Stat. tit. 45, § 45-745.3","heading":"Termination of permit - Extension","body":"A permit shall terminate if the permittee has not commenced the\n\nsurface coal mining operations covered by such permit within three\n\n(3) years of the issuance of the permit. The Department may grant\n\nreasonable extensions of time upon a showing and a finding by the\n\nDepartment that such extensions are necessary by reason of\n\nlitigation precluding such commencement or threatening substantial\n\neconomic loss to the permittee, or by reason of conditions beyond\n\nthe control and without the fault or negligence of the permittee;\n\nprovided, further that with respect to coal to be mined for use in a\n\nsynthetic fuel facility or specific major electric generating\n\nfacility, the permittee shall be deemed to have commenced surface\n\nmining operations at such time as the construction of the synthetic\n\nfuel or generating facility is initiated.","path":["OK Code","Title 45"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os45.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3c7713609af62c8cfcfa57245e2d6ca1f80b037a30c8aab2bc7c458a26c8db29","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-45-45-745.22","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-45-45-745.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
