Stat. tit. 45, § 45-919","heading":"General rules and procedures","body":"The following general rules and procedures shall be complied\n\nwith:\n\n1. Each place of work shall be visited by a certified person at\n\nthe beginning of, and at least once during, each shift and more\n\nfrequently as is necessary to insure that work is being done in a\n\nsafe manner;\n\n2. No employee shall be assigned, allowed or required to\n\nperform work alone in any area where hazardous conditions exist that\n\nwould endanger his safety unless he can communicate with others, can\n\nbe heard or can be seen;\n\n3. When work is performed after dark, the areas of drilling,\n\nblasting, stripping and loading shall be properly illuminated;\n\n4. An authorized, certified person shall be in charge at all\n\ntimes when men are working;\n\n5. Where telephone service is not available, emergency\n\ncommunications shall be provided to the nearest point of assistance;\n\nand\n\n6.
