Stat. tit. 46, § 46-312","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Account holder\" means an individual who establishes,\n\nindividually or jointly with one or more other individuals, a home\n\nbuyer savings account as defined in this act;\n\n2. \"Allowable closing costs\" means a disbursement listed on a\n\nsettlement statement for the purchase of a single-family residence\n\nin Oklahoma by a qualified beneficiary;\n\n3. \"Eligible costs\" means the down payment and allowable\n\nclosing costs for the purchase of a single-family residence in this\n\nstate by a qualified beneficiary;\n\n4. \"Financial institution\" means any bank, trust company,\n\nsavings institution, industrial loan association, consumer finance\n\ncompany, credit union, or any benefit association, insurance\n\ncompany, safe deposit company, money market mutual fund, or similar\n\nentity authorized to do business in this state;\n\n5. \"Home buyer\" means an individual who resides in this state\n\nand has never purchased, either individually or jointly, a single-\n\nfamily residence in the State of Oklahoma;\n\n6. \"Home buyer savings account\" or \"account\" means an account\n\nwith a financial institution that an account holder designates as a\n\nhome buyer savings account on the account holder's Oklahoma income\n\ntax return for tax year 2020 or any tax year thereafter, pursuant to\n\nthis act for the purpose of paying or reimbursing eligible costs for\n\nthe purchase of a single-family residence in this state by a\n\nqualified beneficiary;\n\n7. \"Qualified beneficiary\" means a home buyer who is designated\n\nas the qualified beneficiary of an account designated by the account\n\nholder as a home buyer savings account;\n\n8. \"Settlement statement\" means the statement of receipts and\n\ndisbursements for a transaction related to real estate, including a\n\nstatement prescribed under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act\n\nof 1974, 12 U.S.C. 2601 et seq., as amended, and regulations\n\nthereunder; and\n\n9. \"Single-family residence\" means a single-family residence\n\nowned and occupied by a qualified beneficiary as the qualified\n\nbeneficiary's principal residence, which may include a manufactured\n\nhome, trailer, mobile home, condominium unit, or cooperative.","path":["OK Code","Title 46"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os46.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"673da9530455ea1efc75c6dc5e07d90d61be77c23e2a961d2f3fbbe632e32645","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-46-46-311","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-46-46-313"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
