All collision reports made by persons involved in collisions\n\nshall be without prejudice to the individual so reporting and shall\n\nbe for the confidential use of the Department or other state\n\nagencies having use for the records for collision prevention\n\npurposes, or for the administration of the laws of this state\n\nrelating to the deposit of security and proof of financial\n\nresponsibility by persons driving or the owners of motor vehicles,\n\nexcept that the Department may disclose the identity of a person\n\ninvolved in a collision when the identity is not otherwise known or\n\nwhen the person denies any presence at a collision.\n\nB. All collision reports and supplemental information filed in\n\nconnection with the administration of the laws of this state\n\nrelating to the deposit of security or proof of financial\n\nresponsibility shall be confidential and not open to general public\n\ninspection, nor shall copying of lists of the reports be permitted,\n\nexcept, however, that the reports and supplemental information may\n\nbe examined by, or the Department may provide a copy to, any person\n\nnamed therein, a representative of the person as designated in\n\nwriting by the person, or as provided in Section 40-102 of this\n\ntitle.\n\nC.
