A peer-to-peer car sharing program shall assume liability,\n\nexcept as provided in subsection B of this section, of a shared\n\nvehicle owner for bodily injury or property damage to third parties\n\nor uninsured and underinsured motorist or personal injury protection\n\nlosses during the car sharing period, in an amount stated in the\n\npeer-to-peer car sharing program agreement, which shall not be less\n\nthan those set forth in Section 7-600 et seq. of Title 47 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes.\n\nB. Notwithstanding the definition of \"car sharing termination\n\ntime\" as set forth in Section 2 of this act, the assumption of\n\nliability under subsection A of this section shall not apply to any\n\nshared vehicle owner when a shared vehicle owner:\n\n1. Makes an intentional or fraudulent material\n\nmisrepresentation or omission to the peer-to-peer car sharing\n\nprogram before the car sharing period in which the loss occurred; or\n\n2. Acts in concert with a shared vehicle driver who fails to\n\nreturn the shared vehicle pursuant to the terms of the car sharing\n\nprogram agreement.\n\nC. Notwithstanding the definition of \"car sharing termination\n\ntime\" as set forth in Section 2 of this act, the assumption of\n\nliability under subsection A of this section shall apply to bodily\n\ninjury, property damage, uninsured and underinsured motorist or\n\npersonal injury protection losses by damaged third parties required\n\nby Section 7-600 et seq. of Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c8110789cbac50598ea85d4b58ad3895f8a54759779d4b7b9f2b709efe9ebcc7","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-1051","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-1053"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
