At the time a vehicle owner registers as a shared vehicle\n\nowner on a peer-to-peer car sharing program, and prior to the time\n\nwhen the shared vehicle owner makes a shared vehicle available for\n\ncar sharing on the peer-to-peer car sharing program, the peer-to-\n\npeer car sharing program shall:\n\n1. Verify that the shared vehicle does not have any safety\n\nrecalls on the vehicle for which the repairs have not been made; and\n\n2. Notify the shared vehicle owner of the requirements under\n\nsubsection B of this section.\n\nB. 1. If the shared vehicle owner has received an actual\n\nnotice of a safety recall on the vehicle, a shared vehicle owner may\n\nnot make a vehicle available as a shared vehicle on a peer-to-peer\n\ncar sharing program until the safety recall repair has been made.\n\n2. If a shared vehicle owner receives an actual notice of a\n\nsafety recall on a shared vehicle while the shared vehicle is made\n\navailable on the peer-to-peer car sharing program, the shared\n\nvehicle owner shall remove the shared vehicle as available on the\n\npeer-to-peer car sharing program, as soon as practicably possible\n\nafter receiving the notice of the safety recall and until the safety\n\nrecall repair has been made.\n\n3. If a shared vehicle owner receives an actual notice of a\n\nsafety recall while the shared vehicle is being used in the\n\npossession of a shared vehicle driver, as soon as practicably\n\npossible after receiving the notice of the safety recall, the shared\n\nvehicle owner shall notify the peer-to-peer car sharing program\n\nabout the safety recall so that the shared vehicle owner may address\n\nthe safety recall repair.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"103e0f2744b537762457db5ead3a4cd1268c15cee894b1b53e4fcb3c2f1f0958","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-1062","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-1070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
