Stat. tit. 47, § 47-11-1001","heading":"Stopping, standing or parking outside of business or","body":"residence district - Penalties.\n\nA. 1. Upon any highway outside of a business or residence\n\ndistrict no person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle,\n\nwhether attended or unattended, upon the paved or main-traveled part\n\nof the highway when it is practicable to stop, park or so leave such\n\nvehicle off such part of said highway, but in every event an\n\nunobstructed width of the highway opposite a standing vehicle shall\n\nbe left for the free passage of other vehicles and a clear view of\n\nsuch stopped vehicles shall be available from a distance of four\n\nhundred (400) feet in each direction upon such highway.\n\n2. As used in this section and Section 11-1002 of this title,\n\n“highway” means any public road, street, or turnpike used for\n\nvehicular travel.\n\nB. 1. The owner or operator of a vehicle or its cargo which\n\nobstructs the regular flow of traffic shall make every reasonable\n\neffort to remove the obstructing vehicle or cargo from the roadway\n\nso the regular flow of traffic is not blocked. This subsection\n\nshall not apply to collisions resulting in the injury or death of\n\nany person.\n\n2. This subsection shall not apply to vehicles transporting\n\n“hazardous materials” as defined in paragraph 5 of Section 230.3 of\n\nthis title.\n\n3. Nothing in this subsection shall be construed to relieve any\n\nperson from complying with Section 10-103 of this title.\n\n4. a. Until January 1, 2006, any person violating this\n\nsubsection may be issued a written warning of the\n\nviolation.\n\nb.
