Stat. tit. 47, § 47-11-1108","heading":"Following fire apparatus and other emergency vehicles","body":"prohibited.\n\n(a) The driver of any vehicle other than one on official\n\nbusiness shall not follow any fire apparatus traveling in response\n\nto a fire alarm closer than five hundred (500) feet or drive into or\n\npark such vehicle within the block where fire apparatus has stopped\n\nin answer to a fire alarm.\n\n(b) The driver of any vehicle other than one on official\n\nbusiness shall not follow any emergency vehicle or shall not\n\npurposely drive to any location on a highway where an emergency\n\nexists which would interfere with the free movement of authorized\n\nemergency vehicles or any other traffic using the highway at that\n\nlocation. For the purpose of this subsection the definition of\n\nemergency shall include traffic accidents, airplane accidents,\n\ndisasters, explosions, civil disturbances and (without limitation by\n\nthe foregoing) any other related circumstances which tend to cause\n\ntraffic congestion.\n\nThe purpose of this subsection is to eliminate sightseers and\n\nother persons who do not have official business at the scene of an\n\nemergency, and whose presence would tend to cause traffic\n\ncongestion.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5738f0d2fb62280cb86bcbdecb7915e424d30d2b282a8cbf21c0558836debbef","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-11-1107","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-11-1109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
