Except as otherwise provided in this section, enforcement of\n\nboth traffic laws and the general laws of the State of Oklahoma on\n\nthe turnpikes shall be the exclusive authority of the Department of\n\nPublic Safety, and the cost thereof shall be borne by the Oklahoma\n\nTurnpike Authority. Provided that the Authority shall be liable\n\nonly for such costs as may be agreed to by it under contract or\n\nagreement with the Commissioner of Public Safety.\n\nB. Upon a written request by the Department of Wildlife\n\nConservation to the Commissioner of Public Safety, the Department of\n\nPublic Safety, upon the approval of the Commissioner of Public\n\nSafety, may enter into a written agreement with the Department of\n\nWildlife Conservation permitting the Department of Wildlife\n\nConservation to perform on the turnpikes of this state those law\n\nenforcement duties specified in the agreement. The request by the\n\nDepartment of Wildlife Conservation must be acted upon by the\n\nCommissioner within sixty (60) days of receiving such request. The\n\ncosts of performing those law enforcement duties shall be the\n\nresponsibility of the Department of Wildlife Conservation and no\n\ncosts shall be the responsibility of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority\n\nor the Department of Public Safety.\n\nC.
