Stat. tit. 47, § 47-11-201","heading":"Obedience to and required traffic-control devices","body":"(a) The driver of any vehicle shall obey the instructions of any\n\nofficial traffic-control device applicable thereto placed in\n\naccordance with the provisions of this act, unless otherwise\n\ndirected by a traffic or police officer, subject to the exceptions\n\ngranted the driver of an authorized emergency vehicle in this act.\n\n(b) No provision of this act for which signs are required shall\n\nbe enforced against an alleged violator if at the time and place of\n\nthe alleged violation an official sign is not in proper position and\n\nsufficiently legible to be seen by an ordinarily observant person.\n\nWhenever a particular section does not state that signs are\n\nrequired, such section shall be effective even though no signs are\n\nerected or in place.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3cb64ed3fdf5c1142d9196b6c5bee6e05fd1234a4655e885b55f860c839b2834","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-11-1404","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-11-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
