Stat. tit. 47, § 47-11-203","heading":"Pedestrian-control signals","body":"Whenever special pedestrian-control signals exhibiting the words\n\n“Walk” or a flashing “Don’t Walk” or the WALKING PERSON or UPRAISED\n\nHAND symbols are in place, such signals shall indicate as follows:\n\n1. Walk. Pedestrians facing such signal may proceed across the\n\nroadway in the direction of the signal and shall be given the right-\n\nof-way in the direction of the signal by the drivers of all\n\nvehicles;\n\n2. Flashing Don’t Walk or flashing UPRAISED HAND. No\n\npedestrian shall start to cross the roadway in the direction of such\n\nsignal, but any pedestrian who has partially completed his or her\n\ncrossing on the walk signal shall proceed to a sidewalk or\n\npedestrian refuge while the steady Don’t Walk or UPRAISED HAND\n\nsignal is showing; and\n\n3. Steady Don’t Walk or steady UPRAISED HAND.
