No person shall, without lawful authority, attempt to or in\n\nfact alter, deface, injure, knock down or remove any official\n\ntraffic-control device, including any nine-one-one (911) emergency\n\ntelephone service route markers, or any railroad sign or signal or\n\nany inscription, shield or insignia thereon, or any other part\n\nthereof.\n\nB.
