Upon all roadways of sufficient width a vehicle shall be\n\ndriven upon the right half of the roadway, except as follows:\n\n1. When overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in\n\nthe same direction under the laws governing such movement;\n\n2. When an obstruction exists making it necessary to drive to\n\nthe left of the center of the highway; provided, any person so doing\n\nshall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles traveling in the proper\n\ndirection upon the unobstructed portion of the highway within such\n\ndistance as to constitute an immediate hazard;\n\n3. Upon a roadway divided into three marked lanes for traffic\n\nunder the laws applicable thereon;\n\n4. Upon a roadway restricted to one-way traffic; or\n\n5. Upon a roadway having four or more lanes for moving traffic\n\nand providing for two-way movement of traffic.\n\nB. Upon all roadways any vehicle proceeding at less than the\n\nnormal speed of traffic at the time and place and under the\n\nconditions then existing shall be driven in the right-hand lane when\n\navailable for traffic, or as close as practicable to the right-hand\n\ncurb or edge of the roadway and may be temporarily driven upon the\n\nright-hand shoulder for the purpose of permitting other vehicles to\n\npass. This subsection shall not apply when overtaking and passing\n\nanother vehicle proceeding in the same direction or when preparing\n\nfor a left turn at an intersection or into a private road or\n\ndriveway.\n\nC. Upon any roadway having four or more lanes for moving\n\ntraffic and providing for two-way movement of traffic, no vehicle\n\nshall be driven to the left of the center line of the roadway,\n\nexcept when authorized by official traffic control devices\n\ndesignating certain lanes to the left side of the center of the\n\nroadway for use by traffic not otherwise permitted to use such\n\nlanes, or except as permitted under paragraph 2 of subsection (a) of\n\nthis section.
