Stat. tit. 47, § 47-11-303","heading":"Overtaking a vehicle on the left - Signal","body":"The following requirements shall govern the overtaking and\n\npassing of vehicles proceeding in the same direction, subject to\n\nthose limitations, exceptions and special requirements hereinafter\n\nstated:\n\n1. The driver of a vehicle overtaking another vehicle\n\nproceeding in the same direction shall pass to the left thereof at a\n\nsafe distance and shall not again drive to the right side of the\n\nroadway until safely clear of the overtaken vehicle.\n\n2. Except when overtaking and passing on the right is\n\npermitted, the driver of an overtaken vehicle shall give way to the\n\nright in favor of the overtaking vehicle on audible signal and shall\n\nnot increase the speed of his vehicle until completely passed by the\n\novertaking vehicle.\n\n3.
