Stat. tit. 47, § 47-11-403.1","heading":"Failure to yield causing fatality or bodily injury -","body":"Fees and penalties.\n\nA. Any person convicted of failure to yield a right-of-way and\n\nwho causes a fatality or great bodily injury, as defined in Section\n\n11-904 of this title, as a result of such violation shall, in\n\naddition to any other fine or penalty, be assessed a fee in the\n\namount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to be deposited in the\n\nMotorcycle Safety and Education Program Revolving Fund established\n\nin Section 40-123 of this title. Any person convicted of failure to\n\nyield a right-of-way and who causes a serious bodily injury as a\n\nresult of such violation may, in addition to any other fine or\n\npenalty, be assessed a fee in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars\n\n($500.00) to be deposited in the Motorcycle Safety and Education\n\nProgram Revolving Fund. For the purposes of this section, a serious\n\nbodily injury is an injury that is serious in nature but does not\n\nquite rise to the level of a great bodily injury or a fatality.\n\nThe monies deposited as provided in this subsection shall be\n\nused to promote public awareness of the dangers of driving while\n\nunder the influence of alcohol or any controlled substance and to\n\npromote motorcycle safety and defensive driving for youth.\n\nB. In addition to the fees provided in subsection A of this\n\nsection, the court may impose additional penalties, including:\n\n1. A remedial driving course;\n\n2. A loss of driver license for ninety (90) days; or\n\n3.
