Stat. tit. 47, § 47-11-406","heading":"Farm tractors or implements - Operation on highways -","body":"Permission from Department required - Wide vehicles - Duty of\n\noperator - Yield of right-of-way.\n\nA. A farm tractor, as defined in Section 1-118 of this title,\n\nor any implement of husbandry, as defined in Section 1-125 of this\n\ntitle, except trailers and semitrailers when operated in accordance\n\nwith statutory limits or provisions of Section 14-101 of this title,\n\nshall not be permitted to travel upon any highway in this state\n\nwhich is a part of the National System of Interstate and Defense\n\nHighways. However, the Department of Public Safety shall have the\n\nauthority to permit such travel in certain geographic areas of the\n\nstate as deemed necessary. Such tractor or implement may be\n\noperated on any other roadway in this state if the operator has\n\nattached all the safety devices required by law and has taken\n\nreasonable steps to reduce the width of the tractor or implement as\n\nprovided for by the manufacturer. Whenever the width of a farm\n\ntractor or implement of husbandry exceeds the width of that portion\n\nof a roadway on which the tractor or implement is driven, which is\n\nmarked as a single lane of traffic, or, if the roadway has not been\n\nmarked for lanes of traffic and the width of the tractor or\n\nimplement exceeds more than fifty percent (50%) of the width of the\n\nroadway, the operator shall move the tractor or implement, as soon\n\nas possible, as far to the right-hand side of the roadway as is\n\npracticable and safe upon approach of any oncoming or following\n\nvehicle and upon approaching the crest of a hill.\n\nB. Upon the immediate approach of a farm tractor or implement\n\nof husbandry which cannot be moved by the operator thereof to the\n\nfar right-hand side of the roadway, as required in subsection A of\n\nthis section, due to the existence of any bridge or guardrail, sign\n\nor any other physical impediment which would not safely allow such\n\ntractor or implement to travel on the far right-hand side of the\n\nroad, the driver of every other vehicle shall yield the right-of-way\n\nand shall immediately pull over to the far right-hand side of the\n\nroad and remain in such position until the tractor or implement has\n\npassed.\n\nC.
