When, at the time of registration of any vehicle, payment is\n\nmade by check for fees and taxes and the check is not paid by the\n\nbank on which drawn for any reason, after said check has been\n\npresented for payment a second time, such certificate of\n\nregistration and other such instruments issued at the time of\n\nregistration of such vehicle shall be invalid. The licensed\n\noperator shall transmit all documents and the dishonored check to\n\nService Oklahoma for credit to the licensed operator's account.\n\nService Oklahoma may enter into a contract for the collection of\n\ndishonored checks and canceled instruments. In all such cases, such\n\nvehicles shall be subject to the license fees and penalties provided\n\nin this act as though no attempt to register the vehicle had been\n\nmade and the licensed operator shall charge the person issuing the\n\ncheck a fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for each check to cover\n\nthe costs of processing each returned check. An individual who\n\nsubsequently purchases any such vehicle shall not be required, as a\n\ncondition for registration of the vehicle, to pay any tax, fee or\n\npenalty due resulting from the dishonored check.\n\nA mortgagee who repossesses any such vehicle shall not be\n\nrequired, as a condition for registration of said vehicle, to pay\n\nthe dishonored check penalties which had accrued as of the date of\n\nsuch repossession.\n\nB. Whenever payment is made by check for any Oklahoma driver\n\nlicense and the check is not paid by the bank on which drawn for any\n\nreason, after said check has been presented for payment a second\n\ntime, such driver license shall be invalid and all driving\n\nprivileges of the holder of the driver license shall be canceled.\n\nThe licensed operator shall transmit the dishonored check to Service\n\nOklahoma for credit to the licensed operator's account. Service\n\nOklahoma may enter into a contract for the collection of dishonored\n\nchecks. The licensed operator shall charge the person issuing the\n\ncheck a fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for each check to cover\n\nthe cost of processing each returned check.
