Stat. tit. 47, § 47-1123","heading":"Reciprocal compacts and agreements","body":"Service Oklahoma is hereby authorized and empowered to enter\n\ninto and make reciprocal compacts and agreements when Service\n\nOklahoma deems same to be in the interest of the residents of the\n\nState of Oklahoma, with the proper authorities of other states,\n\nconcerning all motor vehicles engaged in foreign and interstate\n\ncommerce upon and over the public highways.\n\nSuch compacts and agreements shall grant to the residents of\n\nother states privileges substantially like and equal to those\n\ngranted by such states to Oklahoma residents; provided, that such\n\ncompacts and agreements shall not supersede or suspend any laws,\n\nrules or regulations of this state applying to vehicles operated\n\nintrastate in this state. Privileges so granted shall extend only\n\nto persons who comply with the laws of the state of their residence.\n\nSuch compacts and agreements shall not operate to supersede or\n\nsuspend the application of any laws of this state, except insofar as\n\nthey apply to the payment of vehicle license fees or other motor\n\nvehicle taxes charged residents of the states with which such\n\ncompacts and agreements are made; provided, however, that the power\n\nand authority and discretion of the Corporation Commission to make\n\nand enforce rules and regulations governing motor carriers for hire,\n\nor to grant or deny certificates or permits to motor carriers for\n\nhire shall not be superseded or suspended by any such compact and\n\nagreement.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e3bd9f5e3658360801090bb11f344b593f46f5a67e7f0d0b948617a59838f8bd","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-1122","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-1124"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
