All vehicles owned by members of the Armed Forces of the\n\nUnited States, the Reserve Corps of the Armed Forces of the United\n\nStates, and the Oklahoma National Guard or their spouses assigned to\n\nduty in this state in compliance with official military or naval\n\norders or owned by the spouse, who resides in Oklahoma, of a member\n\nof the Armed Forces of the United States serving in a foreign\n\ncountry, which vehicles are not being used in a trade or business or\n\nfor any commercial purpose, are hereby classified specially for\n\nvehicle license and registration purposes in this state. Any such\n\nvehicle which is not registered and licensed for the current year in\n\nthe state of residence or domicile of the service member, Guardsman,\n\nor Reservist or of the spouse owning the vehicle must be registered\n\nfor the current year in Oklahoma as herein provided, except that any\n\nsuch vehicle which has been licensed in some other state by such\n\nservice member, Guardsman, Reservist, or spouse while the service\n\nmember, Guardsman, or Reservist was stationed in the other state may\n\nbe operated in this state for the remainder of the year or period\n\nfor which it is licensed. If such vehicle currently is registered\n\nwith the Armed Forces of the United States rather than being\n\nregistered in a state and the service member, Guardsman, or\n\nReservist is transferred to a duty station within this state\n\npursuant to military orders, the service member, Guardsman,\n\nReservist, or spouse owning the vehicle shall not be required to\n\nregister the vehicle in this state for a period of thirty (30) days\n\nafter the date the service member, Guardsman, or Reservist is\n\nrequired to report for duty pursuant to the military.\n\nThe service member, Guardsman, Reservist, or spouse applying for\n\nthe registration of any such vehicle shall submit an appropriate\n\nstatement, to be attached to the vehicle registration application,\n\nshowing the following: A description of the vehicle owned by the\n\napplicant; the state and address of the applicant's legal residence\n\nor domicile; and that the applicant or applicant's spouse is\n\nactively serving in the Armed Forces of the United States assigned\n\nor stationed at a named location in compliance with official\n\nmilitary orders. The statement shall be signed by the applicant and\n\ncertified to by a proper officer of the organization to which the\n\nservice member, Guardsman, or Reservist is assigned for duty.\n\nProvided, in lieu of certification by an officer, the applicant may\n\nsubmit copies of written orders documenting that the service member,\n\nGuardsman, or Reservist is actively serving at the time of\n\napplication for registration. The application shall be accompanied\n\nby a registration fee of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00).\n\nB. Any Oklahoma resident who is stationed out of state due to\n\nan official assignment of the Armed Forces of the United States or\n\ntheir spouse shall be entitled to register his or her vehicle or\n\nvehicles in this state for the same registration fee afforded\n\nmembers of the Armed Forces of the United States assigned to duty in\n\nthis state pursuant to subsection A of this section. Such Oklahoma\n\nresident or their spouse who is stationed out of state due to an\n\nofficial assignment of the Armed Forces of the United States shall\n\nbe exempt from the vehicle inspection requirements of Section 1105\n\nof this title; provided, such Oklahoma resident or his or her spouse\n\nwho is stationed out of state presents valid documentation\n\nacceptable to Service Oklahoma evidencing that such inspection has\n\nbeen made by an out-of-state authority acceptable to Service\n\nOklahoma.\n\nAny Oklahoma resident who is stationed out of state due to an\n\nofficial assignment of the Armed Forces of the United States may\n\nauthorize a designated representative to register his or her vehicle\n\nor vehicles as provided for in this subsection if the service\ncceptable to Service Oklahoma evidencing that such inspection has\n\nbeen made by an out-of-state authority acceptable to Service\n\nOklahoma.\n\nAny Oklahoma resident who is stationed out of state due to an\n\nofficial assignment of the Armed Forces of the United States may\n\nauthorize a designated representative to register his or her vehicle\n\nor vehicles as provided for in this subsection if the service\n\nmember, Guardsman, or Reservist is not able to register the vehicle\n\nat the appropriate time.\n\nC. Any Oklahoma resident who is a member of the Armed Forces of\n\nthe United States, Reserve Corps of the Armed Forces of the United\n\nStates or the Oklahoma National Guard stationed outside of the state\n\ndue to official assignment of the Armed Forces of the United States,\n\nor his or her spouse, shall be exempt from the penalties assessed\n\npursuant to paragraph 4 of subsection C of Section 1115, subsection\n\nF of Section 1132 and subsection C of Section 1151 of this title for\n\nthe duration of such official assignment and for a period of sixty\n\n(60) days after such assignment ends. If registration is not\n\ncompleted after the sixtieth day, the expiration date and the period\n\nfor assessment of penalties shall commence on the sixty-first day.\n\nThe exemption provided for in this section shall be granted only if\n\nthe service member, Guardsman, Reservist, or spouse registering such\n\nvehicle submits an appropriate statement, to be attached to the\n\nvehicle registration application, showing the following: A\n\ndescription of the vehicle owned by the applicant; the state and\n\naddress of the applicant's legal residence or domicile; and that the\n\napplicant or applicant's spouse is actively serving in the Armed\n\nForces of the United States assigned or stationed at a named\n\nlocation outside the state in compliance with official military\n\norders. The statement shall be signed by the applicant and\n\ncertified to by a proper officer of the organization to which the\n\nservice member, Guardsman, or Reservist is assigned for duty.\n\nProvided, in lieu of certification by an officer, the applicant may\n\nsubmit copies of written orders documenting that the service member,\n\nGuardsman, or Reservist is actively serving at the time of\n\napplication for registration.\n\nD.
