Stat. tit. 47, § 47-1129","heading":"Special mobilized machinery - Registration procedure -","body":"Exemptions.\n\nA. Special mobilized machinery shall not be subject to any\n\nsection or provision of the Oklahoma Vehicle License and\n\nRegistration Act, Section 1101 et seq. of this title, except the\n\nprovisions of this section.\n\nSpecial mobilized machinery shall be permitted on the use of the\n\nhighways of this state when proper registration and permits, as\n\nprovided in this section, are in the possession of the operator.\n\nB. Owners of qualifying equipment hereunder may elect to\n\nregister such equipment either under this section or under other\n\napplicable provisions of this act. Application covering qualifying\n\nequipment may be made to Service Oklahoma or their authorized\n\nlicensed operators for registering special mobilized machinery.\n\nUpon payment of a registration fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00),\n\nthe applicant shall be granted a certificate of registration in\n\nacknowledgment of qualification by Service Oklahoma. The\n\ncertificate of registration must at all times be carried with the\n\nequipment and be available for inspection by an investigating\n\nofficer.\n\nC. In addition to the registration fee, Service Oklahoma shall\n\ncollect at time of registration an additional fee of Five Hundred\n\nFifty Dollars ($550.00) per unit for equipment qualifying under the\n\nterms of this section. This fee of Five Hundred Fifty Dollars\n\n($550.00) shall include the constitutional ad valorem tax and shall\n\nbe allocated by Service Oklahoma in the same manner and percentage\n\nas registration and permit fees are presently allocated under the\n\nprovisions of this act. Payment of this fee shall be due on January\n\n1 of each calendar year and must be paid in no event later than\n\nFebruary 1 of each calendar year. The penalty for noncompliance\n\nwith this provision shall be a double fee in the amount of One\n\nThousand One Hundred Dollars ($1,100.00). For qualifying equipment\n\npurchased during the calendar year, Service Oklahoma shall collect a\n\nfee which shall be pro rata of the annual fee as hereinbefore\n\ndefined. Provided, however, the fee for qualifying equipment\n\nregistered in another state and utilized for emergency or temporary\n\nservice, not to exceed thirty (30) days, shall be calculated in the\n\nsame manner as set forth in subsection A of Section 1122 of this\n\ntitle.\n\nD. Other provisions of this section relating to registration\n\nand other laws of this state relating to registration, fees, or\n\nlicensing shall not apply to such special mobilized equipment when\n\nthe same is manufactured in Oklahoma and sold for delivery and\n\nexclusive use without the state or when returned temporarily for\n\nmodification or repair. In addition, the registration, fees, and\n\nlicensing provisions of the laws of this state shall not apply to\n\nspecial mobilized equipment temporarily brought into the state, with\n\nsubsequent movement back out of the state, solely for fabrication,\n\nrepair, testing, alteration, modification, refurbishing, or\n\nmaintenance.
