Service Oklahoma is hereby authorized to design and issue\n\npersonalized license plates. The personalized license plates shall\n\nbe issued on a staggered system except for vintage decals.\n\nPersonalized special license plates shall not be transferred to\n\nany other person but shall be removed from the vehicle upon transfer\n\nof ownership and retained. The personalized special license plate\n\nmay then be used on another vehicle but only after such other\n\nvehicle has been registered for the current year.\n\nPersonalized special license plates shall be renewed each year\n\nby Service Oklahoma or a licensed operator, unless authorized by\n\nService Oklahoma to be renewed for a period greater than one (1)\n\nyear. Service Oklahoma shall notify by mail all persons issued\n\nspecial license plates. Service Oklahoma shall send the\n\nnotifications to the electronic mail address provided by the person.\n\nIf a person does not provide an electronic mail address, Service\n\nOklahoma shall notify the person by mail. The notice shall contain\n\nall necessary information and shall contain instructions for the\n\nrenewal procedure upon presentation to a licensed operator or\n\nService Oklahoma. Until December 31, 2022, licensed operator fees\n\nfor renewals shall be paid out of the Oklahoma Tax Commission\n\nReimbursement Fund. Beginning January 1, 2023, the licensed\n\noperator fees for acceptance of applications and renewals shall be\n\npaid out of the Service Oklahoma Reimbursement Fund.\n\nOn and after January 1, 2022, if a personalized license plate is\n\nissued pursuant to this section, any registration fee required for\n\nsuch plate pursuant to this section and the fee required pursuant to\n\nSection 1132 of this title shall be remitted at the same time and\n\nsubject to a single registration period. Service Oklahoma shall\n\ndetermine, by rule, a method for making required fee and\n\nregistration period adjustments if a special license plate is\n\nobtained during a twelve-month period for which a registration fee\n\nhas already been remitted pursuant to Section 1132 of this title.\n\nThe combination of fees in a single remittance shall not alter the\n\napportionment otherwise provided for in this section.\n\nB. Such plates shall be designed and issued for the following:\n\n1. Any person in any combination of numbers or letters from one\n\nto a maximum of seven;\n\n2. Persons eligible for two or more of the military decoration\n\nspecial license plates provided for in this title. Such plates may\n\nbe issued in any combination of emblems. However, such plates shall\n\nonly display up to three emblems and shall also display any\n\ncombination of letters or numbers from one to a maximum of three;\n\n3. Motorcycles in any combination of numbers or letters from\n\none to a maximum of six;\n\n4. Persons eligible for Korean War Veteran license plates\n\nprovided for in this title. Such plates may display any combination\n\nof letters or numbers up to three on each side of the insignia or\n\nemblem;\n\n5. Persons eligible for World War II Veteran license plates\n\nprovided for in this title. Such plates may display any combination\n\nof letters or numbers up to three on each side of the insignia or\n\nemblem; and\n\n6. Persons owning vehicles which are twenty-one (21) years and\n\nolder are qualified to submit for approval by Service Oklahoma or a\n\nlicensed operator a vintage but expired official Oklahoma license\n\nplate which is twenty-one (21) years and older. Upon approval of\n\nsuch personalized plate, the owner shall be issued the annual\n\nregistration decal which Service Oklahoma or the licensed operator\n\nshall direct to be affixed.\n\nC. The fee for such plates shall be Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per\n\nyear of renewal and shall be in addition to all other registration\n\nfees provided by the Oklahoma Vehicle License and Registration Act.\n\nEight Dollars ($8.00) per year of renewal of the personalized tag\n\nfee shall be deposited in the Oklahoma Tax Commission Reimbursement\nOklahoma or the licensed operator\n\nshall direct to be affixed.\n\nC. The fee for such plates shall be Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per\n\nyear of renewal and shall be in addition to all other registration\n\nfees provided by the Oklahoma Vehicle License and Registration Act.\n\nEight Dollars ($8.00) per year of renewal of the personalized tag\n\nfee shall be deposited in the Oklahoma Tax Commission Reimbursement\n\nFund to be used for the administration of the Oklahoma Vehicle\n\nLicense and Registration Act. Twelve Dollars ($12.00) per year of\n\nrenewal of the personalized tag fee shall be apportioned as provided\n\nin Section 1104 of this title. Beginning January 1, 2023, Eight\n\nDollars ($8.00) per year of renewal of the personalized tag fee\n\nshall be deposited by Service Oklahoma in the Service Oklahoma\n\nReimbursement Fund to be used for the administration of the Oklahoma\n\nVehicle License and Registration Act.
