Stat. tit. 47, § 47-1135.6","heading":"National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing Driver","body":"(NASCAR) Theme License Plates.\n\nService Oklahoma is hereby authorized to design and issue\n\nNational Association for Stock Car Auto Racing Driver (“NASCAR”)\n\nTheme License Plates. Such plates shall be designed and issued to\n\nany person wishing to demonstrate interest in NASCAR auto racing.\n\nThe plates shall be of such design as the supplier of the license\n\nplates in consultation with Service Oklahoma may prescribe. The fee\n\nfor such plate shall be Forty Dollars ($40.00) and shall be in\n\naddition to all other registration fees required by the Oklahoma\n\nVehicle License and Registration Act. On and after January 1, 2022,\n\nif a special license plate is issued pursuant to this section, any\n\nregistration fee required for such plate pursuant to this section\n\nand the fee required pursuant to Section 1132 of this title shall be\n\nremitted at the same time and subject to a single registration\n\nperiod. Service Oklahoma shall determine, by rule, a method for\n\nmaking required fee and registration period adjustments if a special\n\nlicense plate is obtained during a twelve-month period for which a\n\nregistration fee has already been remitted pursuant to Section 1132\n\nof this title. The combination of fees in a single remittance shall\n\nnot alter the apportionment otherwise provided for in this section.\n\nService Oklahoma shall be authorized to enter into a licensing\n\nagreement with the supplier of such NASCAR Driver license plates or\n\nother entity for any required licensing fees. The licensing\n\nagreement shall provide for a payment by Service Oklahoma of not\n\nmore than twenty-five percent (25%) of the fee authorized for each\n\nlicense plate issued. Five Dollars ($5.00) of the forty-dollar fee\n\nshall be apportioned by Service Oklahoma to the General Revenue\n\nFund. Until December 31, 2022, the remaining amount of such fee\n\nshall be deposited in the Oklahoma Tax Commission Reimbursement\n\nFund. Beginning January 1, 2023, the remaining amount of such fee\n\nshall be deposited by Service Oklahoma in the Service Oklahoma\n\nReimbursement Fund.\n\nFor license plates numbered zero (0) through one hundred (100)\n\ndisplaying a particular NASCAR Driver theme, Service Oklahoma may\n\nestablish an auction or similar procedure for the purpose of\n\ndetermining the order in which such distinctive license plates are\n\nsold and the amount of the additional fee for the distinctive\n\nlicense plates.
