Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with at least two\n\nheadlamps emitting a white light with at least one lamp on each side\n\nof the front of the motor vehicle on the same level and as far apart\n\nas practicable. The headlamps shall comply with the requirements\n\nand limitations set forth in this chapter.\n\nB. Every headlamp upon every motor vehicle shall be located at\n\na height of not more than fifty-four (54) inches nor less than\n\ntwenty-two (22) inches to be measured as set forth in subsection B\n\nof Section 12-202 of this title.\n\nC. The headlamps on motor vehicles shall be so arranged that\n\nthe driver may select at will between distributions of light\n\nprojected to different elevations and such lamps may, in addition,\n\nbe so arranged that such selection can be made automatically,\n\nsubject to the following limitations:\n\n1. There shall be an uppermost distribution of light, or\n\ncomposite beam, so aimed and of such intensity as to reveal persons\n\nand vehicles at a distance of at least six hundred (600) feet ahead\n\nfor all conditions of loading;\n\n2. There shall be a lowermost distribution of light, or\n\ncomposite beam, so aimed and of sufficient intensity to reveal\n\npersons and vehicles at a distance of at least two hundred (200)\n\nfeet ahead; and\n\n3. On a straight, level road under any condition of loading\n\nnone of the high-intensity portion of the beam shall be directed to\n\nstrike the eyes of an approaching driver.\n\nD.
