Stat. tit. 47, § 47-12-203.2","heading":"Use of distribution of light or composite beam","body":"lighting equipment.\n\nWhenever a motor vehicle is being operated on a roadway, or\n\nshoulder adjacent thereto, during the times specified in subsection\n\nB of Section 12-201 of this title, the driver shall use a\n\ndistribution of light, or composite beam, directed high enough and\n\nof sufficient intensity to reveal persons and vehicles at a safe\n\ndistance in advance of the vehicle, subject to the following\n\nrequirements and limitations:\n\n1. Whenever a driver of a vehicle approaches an oncoming\n\nvehicle within one thousand (1,000) feet, such driver shall use a\n\ndistribution of light, or composite beam, so aimed that the glaring\n\nrays are not projected into the eyes of the oncoming driver. The\n\nlowermost distribution of light, or composite beam, specified in\n\nparagraph 2 of subsection C of Section 12-203 of this title shall be\n\ndeemed to avoid glare at all times, regardless of road contour and\n\nloading.\n\n2. Whenever the driver of a vehicle follows another vehicle\n\nwithin six hundred (600) feet to the rear, such driver shall use a\n\ndistribution of light permissible under this chapter other than the\n\nuppermost distribution of light specified in paragraph 1 of\n\nsubsection C of Section 12-203 of this title.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e0bf53d534d57ae3bdbd94adb193615e7d9243abfc312c161611616cdcee8869","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-12-203.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-12-203.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
