The term \"air-conditioning equipment\" as used or referred to\n\nin this section shall mean mechanical vapor compression\n\nrefrigeration equipment which is used to cool the driver's or\n\npassenger compartment of any motor vehicle.\n\nB. Such equipment shall be manufactured, installed and\n\nmaintained with due regard for the safety of the occupants of the\n\nvehicle and the public and shall not contain any refrigerant which\n\nis toxic to persons or which is flammable or which is in violation\n\nof regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency pursuant to 40\n\nC.F.R., Part 82 or which is not included in the list published by\n\nthe Environmental Protection Agency as a safe alternative motor\n\nvehicle air conditioning substitute for chlorofluorocarbon-12,\n\npursuant to 42 U.S.C. 7671 k(c).\n\nC.
