Nothing in the Odometer Setting Act shall prevent the\n\nservice, repair or replacement of an odometer, provided the mileage\n\nindicated thereon remains the same as before the service, repair or\n\nreplacement. Where the odometer is incapable of registering the\n\nsame mileage as before the service, repair or replacement, the\n\nodometer shall be adjusted to read zero and a notice in writing\n\nshall be attached to the left door frame of the vehicle by the owner\n\nor his agent specifying the mileage prior to repair or replacement\n\nof the odometer and the date on which it was repaired or replaced.\n\nB. No person shall:\n\n1. Fail to adjust an odometer or affix a notice regarding such\n\nadjustment as required by subsection A of this section; and\n\n2.
