Any transferor shall give the following written information\n\nto the transferee prior to the transfer of ownership of a motor\n\nvehicle:\n\n1. The odometer reading at the time of transfer;\n\n2. The date of transfer;\n\n3. The name and current address of the transferor; and\n\n4. The identity of the vehicle, including the make, model,\n\nyear, body type and vehicle identification number.\n\nB. In the disclosure required under this section, the\n\ntransferor shall also certify that to the best of his knowledge:\n\n1. the odometer reading reflects the actual mileage; or\n\n2. the odometer reading does not reflect actual mileage; or\n\n3. the mileage is in excess of the mechanical limits of the\n\nodometer.\n\nThe provisions of this section shall not apply to a transferor\n\nwhenever transfer of ownership of a motor vehicle shall pass by\n\nbequest, descent, devise, gift or other means wherein there is no\n\nexchange of monetary or equivalent compensation.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"536cfaa8c7644c78aede075958bd40b2d37a4e2d0c5ee0d4b03f2d2d320b54e9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-12-504","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-12-506"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
