Stat. tit. 47, § 47-12-506","heading":"Violation - Penalty","body":"\n\nAny person convicted of violating any of the provisions of the\n\nOdometer Setting Act with intent to misrepresent the true mileage\n\ndriven of a motor vehicle shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall\n\nbe punished by a fine of not more than Ten Thousand Dollars\n\n($10,000.00) or imprisonment for not more than one (1) year, or by\n\nboth fine and imprisonment. A person violating the provisions of\n\nthe Odometer Setting Act shall have civil liability for the greater\n\nof three times the actual damages or One Thousand Five Hundred\n\nDollars ($1,500.00).
