Stat. tit. 47, § 47-1201","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Weigh Station Act of 2012:\n\n1. \"Authority\" means the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority;\n\n2. \"Commission\" means the Corporation Commission;\n\n3. \"Fixed facility\" means a weigh station or a port of entry;\n\n4. \"Port of entry\" means a facility, in close proximity to a\n\nstate line, designed to electronically weigh and screen motor\n\ncarriers and commercial motor vehicles for compliance with federal\n\nand state statutes and rules, allowing compliant carriers to proceed\n\nwith minimal or no delay;\n\n5. \"Roadside enforcement\" means a temporary location, with or\n\nwithout portable or semi-portable scales, used to randomly check\n\ncommercial motor vehicles or motor carriers for compliance with\n\nfederal or state statutes or rules;\n\n6. \"Weigh station\" means a stationary and permanent weighing\n\nfacility with fixed scales owned by the state where commercial motor\n\nvehicles are checked for compliance with weight and size standards.\n\nWeigh stations are also utilized to enforce federal and state laws\n\nand rules applicable to motor carriers and the operation of\n\ncommercial motor vehicles and their drivers; and\n\n7. \"North American Standard Inspection\" means a Level I, Level\n\nII, Level III, Hazardous Materials, Cargo Tank or Passenger Carrier\n\ninspection conducted by an individual certified by the Federal Motor\n\nCarrier Safety Administration to conduct such inspections.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b529bd364115c8b485dd3c22cc1699d992873637057aaa9c5504f5c80af4bce6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-1200","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-1202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
