Stat. tit. 47, § 47-14-107","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this chapter:\n\n1. \"Axle load\" means the total load transmitted to the road by\n\nall wheels whose centers are included between two parallel\n\ntransverse vertical planes forty (40) inches apart, extending across\n\nthe full width of the vehicle;\n\n2. \"Tandem axle\" means any two or more consecutive axles whose\n\ncenters are more than forty (40) inches apart, but not more than\n\nninety-five (95) inches apart;\n\n3. \"Split tandem axle\" means any group of two or more\n\nconsecutive axles where the center of any two adjacent axles exceeds\n\nninety-five (95) inches, but does not exceed one hundred twenty\n\n(120) inches;\n\n4. \"Nondivisible\" means any load or vehicle exceeding\n\napplicable length or weight which, if separated into smaller loads\n\nor vehicles, would:\n\na. compromise the intended use of the vehicle,\n\nb. destroy the value of the load or vehicle, or\n\nc. require more than eight (8) hours to dismantle using\n\nappropriate equipment;\n\n5. \"Dual lane axles\" also known as \"trunnion axles\" means an\n\naxle configuration with two individual axles mounted in the same\n\ntransverse plane, with four tires on each axle, connected at a pivot\n\npoint that allows each individual axle to oscillate in a vertical\n\nplane to provide constant and equal weight distribution on each\n\nindividual axle; and\n\n6. \"Dual lane axles group\" also known as \"trunnion axle group\"\n\nmeans two or more consecutive trunnion axles that are individually\n\nattached to, and/or articulated from, the vehicle, and may include a\n\nweight equalizing suspension system.","path":["OK Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os47.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ea14e8cdc035fdd08a9ef19de03dba84d29fe26c098d83103b7aa00574b4d66a","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-14-106","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-47-47-14-109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
