A motor vehicle or a commercial motor vehicle, if operated\n\nby an engine fueled wholly or partially by an electric battery or\n\nhydrogen fuel cell electric fueling system, may exceed the gross\n\nvehicle weight limits and any axle weight limits by an amount, not\n\nto exceed a maximum of two thousand (2,000) pounds, that is equal to\n\nthe difference between:\n\n1. The weight of the vehicle attributable to electric batteries\n\nor hydrogen fuel cell electric fueling system carried by that\n\nvehicle; and\n\n2. The weight of a comparable diesel tank and fueling system.\n\nB.
